Spring motherhood session

Something about the air in flagstaff that just smells sweet as soon as the spring winds begin to blow. You can’t help but notice life staring to come back to the mountains. The aspens start to shimmer and little wild flowers start marking an appearance. I love documenting mother’s to be in the spring time. With mothers day around the corner it makes for such a sweet memory. Toddlers and growing belly’s is just my favourite. If you are pregnant or gave a little one saving some special time just for you and them is so important.

I’m in love with this sweet session in the spring lilac’s, the fragrance from the blossoms was incredible and the colours are just amazing. Can you picture your self with you little one dancing in the settings sunshine next to the beautiful spot in Flagstaff. Dreams do come true.

Fall maternity sessions

As much as I love flagstaff in the summer, with it’s alpine meadows full of wildflowers, full lush aspens groves and long days full of sunshine. I can’t help but dream of the tall, dreamy golden grass that creates the most magical backdrop for any session. I have to share so many from this maternity sessions we had late in October. The little darling that loved on her mommy and daddy. The beautiful bump that holds a new little one on the way. Documenting motherhood and all it’s stage’s is such a joy. I also can’t help but love on this perfectly styled family. The colors and textures go so perfect with the natural setting, complimenting them and not distracting. Some of the images of the mother and her little ones are so sweet I can’t help but share so many.

Flagstaff in the summer

We stumbled apron this little patch of daisies. The sun was in the perfect spot and we just played around. Documenting sweet moments between mother and children is such a special privilege. The sweet moment your little ones will not remember get to be recorded for them to cherish for years to come. The little smile, the tiny hand that hold you tightly all night long. Flagstaff summers are full of wildflowers and sunshine. It’s just such a magical time.

Mother and daughter bond

It is such a sweet and beautiful experience to watch clients interact during a photoshoot. I absolutely love how this Mother and her beautiful baby girl loved on each other. The looks and smiles did not stop the whole time. The light streaming through the little blooms on the trees behind them made for a lovely backdrop on this windy, day in Flagstaff. My favorite time of year to photograph is fast approaching because Flagstaff is so dreamy in the summer.

Family photoshoot in the apple blossoms, the perfect spring location

This year the apple trees took some time to bloom and kept me guessing. The day we picked was sunny and windy, but by the afternoon the clouds started rolling in. Apple blossoms will stay on the tree from 3 to 7 days. But with this wild flagstaff spring wind I was afraid they would not last long. So we took a risk and decided to go for it. It was pouring rain as we pulled in to the parking lot. The radar kept promising clear sky by 4pm but it was looking dark. We decided to wait just a little longer and I’m so glad we did. The rain got swept away and we were able to go and documented some sweet moments in the most beautiful full Apple blossoms.
